High School Partnerships
High School Partnerships

I want high school students to feel the charm of the university more closely

Learning changes dramatically when students move from high school to university. It is our hope that high school students learn more about what university has to offer, that they feel that university is more familiar to them, and that they take a step toward their own future. Our aim is to help them do this, which is why we are actively working on our high school partnership program.

What is high school-university cooperation?

High School Partnerships

This is an educational activity conducted in collaboration with a high school and a university, with the aim of eliciting high school students' interest in the university and their quest for various subjects. By working closely with the high school and the university, such as university lectures and hands-on programs, it will be possible to provide a wide range of learning and exchanges.

For high school students, it is a place where you can feel the atmosphere of the university, and it is also a valuable opportunity to experience the knowledge specialized in the specialized field of the university. Through lectures and hands-on events, I believe that it will lead to finding my own aptitude, interests, and interests that I had never known before.

In addition, by actively collaborating with high schools, you can gain various experiences from the high school stage. By doing so, we believe that we will be able to produce more people with various values and diverse abilities who will find a place to play an active role in society.

Details of the initiative

Special Attendance Student

Special Attendance Student

Our university has an initiative that allows high school students from partner schools to take specific classes free of charge as "Special Attendance Student." Students can take designated courses in the first and second semesters, and earn credits by submitting reports and taking regular exams.
This provides a great opportunity to learn and experience the differences from high school and the real university atmosphere, such as the ability to independently choose classes, longer class hours than in high school, a different evaluation system than in high school, and different class sizes depending on the subject.

College Experience Program

College Experience Program

This event is jointly held by our university's Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Faculty of Languages and Cultures, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science and Engineering, and Faculty of Medical Technology, as well as the Teikyo University Group. It is held once a year at Utsunomiya Campus, and high school students can "experience being a university student for a day."
On the day, faculty members from each faculty and department will give mock lectures on their fields of expertise, as well as hold experiential events and open facilities. The aim is for the participating high school students to make new discoveries and awaken their sense of inquiry.

Application for agreement exchange

In the future, we would like to further strengthen our efforts for high school-university cooperation and actively implement educational support programs for high school students. We accept inquiries and consultations such as participation in College Experience Program and agreements for Special Attendance Student. Please feel free to contact us.
