Eligible applicants

Applicants must meet the requirements of 1 or 2 as well as 3, be recommended by the principal of a high school or secondary school, and have a desire to contribute to the local community in the future.

  1. Applicants must be a graduate or expect to graduate in March 2026 from a high school or secondary school located in the Tama area of Tokyo or Kawasaki or Sagamihara cities in Kanagawa Prefecture.
  2. Applicants must be a high school or secondary school graduate or expect to graduate in March 2026, and must either live or be guardians of a resident of the Tama area of Tokyo or Kawasaki or Sagamihara cities in Kanagawa Prefecture.
  3. Applicants must be able to make a firm commitment to enroll if accepted.

Features

  • Half of the admission fee and half of the tuition for two years are exempt.
  • Even if a student is not accepted as a scholarship student, he/she may be allowed to enroll if he/she is deemed to have the same or greater ability and aptitude as a successful candidate through the school recommendation selection process (open application system).

Selection Process

In the 2026 Common University Entrance Examination, the pass/fail result will be determined based on the scores in the subjects and courses designated by the university, with the highest score in one subject. The university will not conduct individual academic ability tests.

  • *1 For "English," the reading score (maximum 100 points) and the listening score (maximum 100 points) will each be compressed to a maximum of 50 points, and the combined score will be used. However, if an applicant is approved by Admission Center to be exempt from the listening section, the reading score (maximum 100 points) will be used.
  • *2 For the Japanese language section, the score for "Modern and later writing" (maximum 110 points) will be compressed to a maximum of 100 points.
  • *3 If you take two or more subjects, the subject with the higher score will be used to determine whether you pass or fail.
