The Graduate School of Law trains specialized professionals and researchers who have acquired legal knowledge, have acquired legal mindsets, and who have developed both a deep sense of discernment and ability to understand people.
Our objective is to train researchers and legal professionals, as well as of course, civil servants, business professionals and other such professionals armed with high levels of legal processing abilities, and higher abilities to logically reason by having them acquire higher faculties of reason and legal mindsets.
By studying at the Graduate School of Law of Law, students will be able to further deepen their scope of legal research and acquire qualifications centered on teacher-training.
At the Graduate School of Law, students can acquire skills and a legal mindsets that will be of use to them in the actual field when it comes to repeating the case method (case studies). With the skills they cultivated at the Graduate School of Law, many alumni are found employed at many companies as legal practitioners, such as tax accountants and as legal experts.
Law is essential for resolving society's problems. Graduate School of Law aims to cultivate individuals with advanced legal skills. Those working in the legal field are required not only to have legal knowledge but also to have a legal mindset. This means accurately understanding important provisions, precedents, and academic theories, and then having the wisdom to apply that knowledge flexibly to specific cases. Deep insight into human nature is also sometimes required. Acquiring a legal mindset requires a considerable period of education and training. Our graduate school invites knowledgeable and experienced leaders from academia, the legal profession, and the government to provide systematic education ranging from basic knowledge to advanced specialized knowledge, centered on a case method using precedents as teaching materials, in order to cultivate legal professionals who will contribute to society.
