In collaboration with a professional sports team, we are creating a place for Practical learning where research results can be shared with society and students can gain social experience.
Saitama Seibu Lions
We have signed a naming rights sponsorship contract with the Saitama Seibu Lions, and cooperate in the operation of the facilities, naming the indoor children's playground on the grounds of the Saitama Seibu Lions' home stadium "Teikyo Kids Room" and the outdoor children's playground "Teikyo Kids Field". In 2023, we also signed a partnership for sports medicine support, and will dispatch staff with various specialties from our Sports Medicine Center to the newly established High Performance Group within the Saitama Seibu Lions Headquarters Team Management Department, aiming to prevent injuries, speed up recovery from injuries, and improve performance for players. We are also cooperating in the establishment of the "Lions Orthopedic Surgery Clinic", which will open in April 2024. During the summer vacation, the Seibu Lions internship is available to students of our university. In the work experience course, students experience work related to running the club, such as accompanying sales staff and managing games, while in the PBL (problem-solving) course, students are tasked with developing measures to increase attendance and give presentations, providing a Practical learning opportunity to gain new perspectives and knowledge.
FC Tokyo
We have signed a contract for club sponsorship with FC Tokyo, a J.League club operated by Tokyo Football Club Co., Ltd. With this contract, our students will be able to learn about social collaboration activities and sports business through lectures by FC Tokyo club staff, and we also plan to give students a stadium experience at home games, where they will be able to experience and observe match management and work, which is thought to help them understand the real frontline business world.
