On Wednesday, June 19, 2024, an opening ceremony was held for Teikyo University's incubation facility, "Teikyo University Innovation Gate (abbreviated as TIG)," located on the first floor of Building 4 at Teikyo Itabashi Campus. A total of 20 people, including Tokyo Metropolitan Government officials and representatives of Tokyo's contracted companies, attended the opening ceremony, and after an overview of the facility, they toured the event room and co-working room.
This facility was developed using Tokyo Metropolitan Government's university-based startup creation support program, and aims to be a base for creating Practical learning startup companies with practical and innovative technology. The facility includes an event room with a layout that can be changed to suit the occasion, such as seminars, pitch events, and business contests, as well as a coworking room that can accommodate small group or online meetings. In addition to providing a comfortable space, the facility is characterized by offering services that are easy for startups to use, such as the ability to register as a corporate registration address.
By utilizing this facility as a base for creating startups, Teikyo Technology Transfer Center will link social needs with the diverse seeds of our university and build an ecosystem that will give back the results to society.
