On Sunday, October 20, 2024, the Teikyo University Alumni Association Cultural Affairs Bureau Brass Band performed at the Autumn Ginza Traffic Safety Golden Parade, held on Ginza Street in Chuo Ward, Tokyo. This parade has a history of over 50 years and is an event that livens up Ginza with the performances of brass bands and baton twirlers, with the theme of promoting traffic safety in the safe and secure city of Ginza.
The day was blessed with good weather and many people gathered along the roadside, as the brass band performed in perfect harmony, marching down Ginza Street with smiles on their faces and waving to the audience between songs. The members said with a satisfied look on their faces, "We don't often have the chance to perform outside, so this was a valuable experience," and "It was fun because many people waved back at us."
The Wind Orchestra will hold its 51st regular concert at the Curiosity Hall on our Hachioji Campus on Sunday, December 22, 2024. Please come along.
