On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, the Pakui Seminar Faculty of Law Department of Political Science, Teikyo University donated a portion of the sales from the SDGs lunch box "Cutting-edge Disaster Food" that they set up and sold at the Seisha Festival held in October to the certified NPOs Yamaboshi (Hino City, Tokyo) and mix'SDG (Machida City, Tokyo).
In selling the SDGs bento "Cutting-edge Disaster Food," which was arranged with the theme of "delicious and easy to prepare for disaster relief," the Pakui seminar team developed the menu and provided cooking facilities to the certified NPO Yamaboshi, and asked people with disabilities who use Yamaboshi to participate in cooking. In addition, mix'SDG provided disaster relief food that was nearing its expiration date, and the seminar group was able to set a low price of 250 yen, which is a donation of 25% on top of the sales price.
Over the two days, 521 meals of SDGs lunches, "cutting-edge disaster food," were sold, and donations were also raised from students at our university who supported the activities of the Pakui seminar. The seminar students donated a total of 25,000 yen to both organizations, hoping that the donations will be used to improve employment support for people with disabilities and to combat food waste. Our university will continue to provide a place for Practical learning education as stated in Educational Guidelines.
