Four seminars from our university were recognized at the 16th University Consortium Hachioji Student Presentation, held at the Hachioji City Gakuen Toshi Center (Hachioji City, Tokyo) on Saturday, December 7th and Sunday, December 8th, 2024.
This presentation is held at a forum where 25 member universities and other institutions come together, with the aim of allowing students to present the results of their daily learning in an easy-to-understand and logical manner, thereby advancing their own research, and discovering and creating new value through understanding the results of others and different fields, thereby contributing to the development of member universities and the Hachioji region. Divided into three sections, "Oral Presentation Session," "Poster/Exhibition Session," and "Proposal Session," based on themes of specialized fields and local issues, this year saw a record 316 applications. From our university, over 30 students from 10 groups in the Faculty of Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Law, and Faculty of Language Studies presented their research results and proposals for the city government and revitalization of Hachioji City over the two days. Among them, international students from Department of Language Studies and Department of Global Japanese Studies were seen giving presentations and answering questions in Japanese.
By participating in this conference, students will be able to listen to presentations from other universities and fields and engage in exchanges that go beyond the boundaries of their universities and schools. It is expected that students will continue to actively work to solve social issues in the future.
