A lecture on international activities for faculty and staff was held at Teikyo University's Fukuoka Campus on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. This lecture has been held at Fukuoka Campus since 2023 with the aim of promoting international exchange activities among faculty and staff and sharing information within the university.
The first speaker, Keizo Wanai, Assistant Professor Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology Department of Medical Technology Fukuoka Prefecture, visited Cambodia in early March and gave a lecture on the medical support he provided there. He introduced the dialysis treatments provided at Japan Poly Clinic, which was established by a Japanese doctor, and the current state of medical care in Cambodia.
The second speaker Assistant Professor Yuki Yoshimura of the same department, gave a lecture on the exchange event with Chunhae Health University South Korea held on Friday, December 20, 2024. In response to a question about how the students communicated with only one interpreter, he answered, "We managed to communicate in our poor English, using smartphone apps and getting help from South Korea students who could speak Japanese." He also reported that exchanges between students are still ongoing, and that some students have already visited South Korea individually.
The third speaker, Professor Shinji Kawamura of the Department of Radiological Technology, gave a speech about the exchange with Mahidol University in Thailand, with which the MOU was signed in February, and the process that led to the MOU. He called for the promotion of internationalization at Fukuoka Campus, using the MOU as a springboard for the need for international exchange at universities.
In order to further internationalize, Fukuoka Campus will continue to actively engage in international activities, with students and faculty working together.
