Fukuoka Campushosts short-term training program for Mahidol University

From Wednesday, April 9th to Thursday, April 24th, 2025, Teikyo University's Fukuoka Campus hosted four students from Faculty of Medical Technology Technology Mahidol University (Kingdom of Thailand), with whom we signed a MOU (international exchange agreement) in February of this year, and conducted a short-term training program aimed at acquiring specialized knowledge and experiencing culture.

In addition to participating in lectures and practical training on campus, this training program also included visits to external facilities and cultural experiences.
During the on-campus training, students participated in lectures and practical training in Department of Radiological Technology, as well as a course on "History, Culture, and Life in Omuta" for all departments, a Japanese language course, and practical training in Department of Nursing and Emergency Medical Technician Course, allowing them to deepen their understanding of several medical professions and Omuta City, where Fukuoka Campus is located.
During the facility tours, the students visited Teikyo University Hospital, Kurume University Hospital, Kyushu Synchrotron Light Research Center in Saga Prefecture, Kyushu International Heavy Ion Cancer Treatment Center, and Yokokura Hospital, learning about Japan's latest medical care, community medical care, and research technologies.
During the cultural experience, the students visited Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, Kyushu National Museum, Omuta City Coal Industry and Science Museum, Miyanohara Pit, and Omuta City Zoo with students from our university. They were able to experience the charm of Japanese culture through touring historical buildings, appreciating art, and trying Japanese food.
On the last day of the training, students from our university and Mahidol University gave a training report session, after which they moved to the cafeteria for a farewell party. Although the training was only for a short period of two weeks, there was lively interaction between the students, and they fostered friendships that overcame language barriers and cultural differences. They promised to continue to exchange in the future, and are still in contact with each other.

Fukuoka Campus will continue to strive to cultivate global human resources by improving its international educational environment.
