At the 14th Kanto University Spring Exchange Tournament, held from Sunday, April 20th to Sunday, June 22nd, 2025, the Teikyo University Rugby Football Club achieved its fourth consecutive victory with a match against Waseda University on the final day.
They played a total of five games in the tournament, and although they were sadly defeated in the final game, their overwhelming scoring power and solid defense allowed them to earn more points than any other school, and they finished in first place in Group A.
After the tournament, captain Omachi Yoshio (4th year, Faculty of Medical Technology) reflected on the tournament and spoke about the future, saying, "Last year we relied a lot on individual strength, but this year we had a strong awareness of fighting as a team, and I think we can evaluate their play as a foundation. To become number one in Japan, I think it's important how much we can build on that foundation and how thoroughly we can pay attention to the details."
We appreciate your continued support for the Teikyo University Rugby Football Club.
