Senior Assistant Professor Amano received the Excellent Demo Poster Award at the Information Education SymposiumUtsunomiya Campus

At the Information Processing Society of Japan's Information Education Symposium 2025, held at Musashino University (Koto-ku, Tokyo) on Thursday, August 21, 2025, Yuki Amano, Senior Assistant Professor Teikyo University Learning Technology Laboratory won the Outstanding Demo Poster Award for her presentation titled "A comparative study of the content of 'Information Design' in Information I textbooks."
This study focused on "Communication and Information Design," a new unit in Information I established in the revised Course of Study in 2018, and conducted a comparative analysis of textbooks from various publishers based on indicators such as page count allocation, consistency of definitions, chapter structure, and number of terms. The results indicated that there were significant differences in how information design was handled by each publisher, and that these differences could affect the learning achievement of high school students and the fairness of university entrance exams.
We will continue to conduct similar research on textbooks for the 2025 examination, and plan to use this information to develop initiatives that will benefit educational settings, such as the development of common Assistant Professor and the sharing of databases for instructors.
