On Friday, August 1, 2025, the final judging for the 41st Yomiuri Calligraphy Exhibition, Japan's largest public calligraphy competition, was held at Sunshine City Cultural Hall (Toshima-ku, Tokyo), where Kaito Yoshiori (4th year, Faculty of Law) from Teikyo University's Calligraphy Club won the Outstanding Award, given to the most outstanding work among the selected works, and 10 other club members were selected for the competition. Furthermore, our university's Calligraphy Club coach, Haruno Kanehira, won the Yomiuri Encouragement Award for her work submitted by the Council, and many other alumni also won awards, highlighting the achievements of those involved with our university's Calligraphy Club.
