At South Korea Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy 2025 (KSGE Days 2025), held in Busan, South South Korea on Friday, September 19th and Saturday, September 20th, 2025, Professor Masaki Sugimoto and Assistant Professor Takuya Sueyoshi of the Innovation Lab Okinaga Research Institute of Teikyo University, won the TOP3 Abstracts Award for their presentation entitled "Applicability of wearable spatial computing-enhanced holographic guidance for safe and accurate EUS-guided biliary IVR."
Founded in 1976, the South Korea Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (KSGE) is the leading academic organization in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy in South Korea, promoting research, education, and technology sharing in the field both domestically and internationally. The annual academic conference attracts participants from not only South Korea but also from around the world, and serves as a forum for experts to gather and discuss the latest research findings and technological advances.
The latest technology and research results in gastrointestinal endoscopy were discussed, and Professor Sugimoto and Assistant Professor Professor said, "I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone involved in this research. I will continue to promote research and development activities at our institute and at our university."
This award recognizes Professor Sugimoto and Assistant Professor Sueyoshi's many years of innovative technological development efforts, including the results of the following research grants:
