Strengthening Academic Ties: Visit from Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training to Teikyo UniversityItabashi Campus

On Monday, October 6, 2025, Dr. Luu Bich Ngoc, Director of the National Council Office for Education and Human Development, Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, visited Teikyo University Itabashi Campus and inspected the campus and hospital.

On campus, Dr. Ngoc observed a tense, realistic practical training session with assigned roles for the Emergency Medical Technician Course in the Department of Sport and Medical Science of the Faculty of Medical Technology. She received an explanation of the curriculum and training schedule and experienced the latest patient simulator technology at the Teikyo Simulation Education and Research Center (TSERC). Following this, she toured the Teikyo University Hospital, where she heard about the Elekta Harmony Pro? linac, the first of its kind in a university hospital in Japan, in the radiation therapy room. She also heard about the effectiveness of exercise programs prescribed by doctors at the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center. She then observed a Da Vinci surgery up close in the operating room. After learning about the benefits of Da Vinci surgery, she actively asked questions about the time it takes to obtain certification to perform the procedure. She also toured various facilities at the University Hospital, including the rooftop helipad and the special treatment environment room, and expressed her appreciation for the state-of-the-art equipment and the medical care it provides.
