On Sunday, October 26, 2025, Cheerleading Club held a cheer dance class at Teikyo University's Hachioji Campus. This event was part of the "TEIKYO Multi-Sports Carnival," planned by the university's Sports Sports Bureau, which provides opportunities for students to experience and enjoy sports. The multi-sports event was held for elementary school students in the Tama area, and the goal was to enable even elementary school students who are not good at sports to experience the fun of sports through interactions with Japan's top university teams and top athletes.
Approximately 50 elementary school students participated in this cheer dance class, and Cheerleading Club students who ran the event were all smiling and easing the children's tension. The event began by teaching the children the "energy, courage, and smiles" essential to cheerleading. The movements and dances were practiced separately for lower and upper grades, and during each performance, they practiced calling out to each other so that they could experience the joy of cheering for each other, creating an atmosphere of enjoyment for everyone, including the performers, spectators, and everyone in the venue. The event ended with a chance to try stunts, making it an event where participants could experience the charm of sports that are filled with smiles.
Teikyo University will continue to hold sports events that are closely connected to the local community, creating opportunities for children to experience sports.
