On Saturday, December 6, 2025, students from Teikyo University set up a booth at a home game at Ajinomoto Stadium (Chofu, Tokyo) as part of the FC Tokyo Active Learning Program.
Our university has signed an official partnership agreement * with FC Tokyo, and this program is being led by Professor Fumio Tsukahara of Faculty of Medical Technology, Department of Sport and Medical Science, Assistant Professor Satoshi Iwamura of the same department, and Associate Professor Toshio Kumai of the Department Department of Business Administration Faculty of Economics. To date, they have provided guidance to students on the perspectives and ways of thinking required for exhibiting at the booth.
In preparation for the booth, we worked with FC Tokyo to hold multiple special classes and conduct on-site inspections of Ajinomoto Stadium, and the day of the event came after a period of approximately five months of research and preparation. Under the theme of "Thinking about the future of the region with FC Tokyo," we implemented an AR quiz using smartphones and an event where visitors could write messages of support as promotional measures aimed at fans and the local community. In the AR quiz, visitors could scan markers installed inside the booth with their smartphones, and questions related to FC Tokyo would appear on the screen, making it fun for visitors to participate. Original goods and face paint stickers were distributed as prizes, and the event was a huge success, with participants writing messages of support for FC Tokyo and taking commemorative photos.
Our university will continue to support FC Tokyo together with fans, supporters, and the local community, and will provide students with opportunities to learn in a variety of areas, including sports marketing, through practical experience.
