On Tuesday, December 23, 2025, Teikyo University signed a comprehensive agreement on mutual cooperation and collaboration with Hino City, Tokyo.
Teikyo University's Hachioji Campus is partially located in Hino City, and has long been involved with the local community in its educational and research activities. Hino City has set "a city of physical and mental health and happiness" as one of its priority policies, and is promoting collaborative urban development and problem-solving through co-creation with local businesses and universities in various fields, including health measures. This agreement was concluded with the aim of linking Hino City's efforts with our university's educational and research activities to further promote responses to local issues and contribute to the formation and development of a sustainable and unique local community.
Going forward, we will further develop the collaborative projects between the city and the university, and while effectively utilizing the human and material resources of both parties, we will promote initiatives in a variety of fields, including the development of local human resources who will lead the next generation and health measures. Furthermore, by further strengthening collaboration between organizations and building face-to-face relationships, we will contribute to solving local issues and improving the quality of life for citizens.For details of the comprehensive agreement, please see here (Hino City website)
