The second networking event with foreign caregivers and medical professionals was held at Teikyo University's Fukuoka Campus on Saturday, November 29, 2025. This initiative has been running since 2023 with the aim of sharing diverse values and studying together for national exams through interactions with foreign caregivers and medical professionals who are working in Japan under the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and aiming to obtain national qualifications.
The event was attended by 10 foreign caregivers and medical professionals from Indonesia, Myanmar, and Vietnam, 10 students, and 13 faculty and staff members. The students were divided into four groups and held discussions and group presentations on the theme of toilet measures for people with special needs in the event of a disaster, and worked together in each group to create a simple toilet using cardboard, plastic bottles, and other materials. In the second half of the program, all participants enjoyed Japanese sweets and tea, deepening exchanges that transcended differences of age, gender, culture, and ethnicity.
In a survey of participants, comments such as "I want to know more about other countries and their current situations" and "I now want to learn more about foreign cultures and interact with people from other countries" were received, making it a fulfilling event.
Fukuoka Campus will continue to carry out activities aimed at further developing international exchange.
