Division of Nursing cultivates individuals who will contribute to the development of nursing science, equipped with a wide range of knowledge and practical and research capabilities to meet the needs of all people. By identifying issues based on field experience and writing a dissertation, students will not only be able to apply their research in the field, but will also develop the ability to plan and think logically.
Overview of Division of Nursing
In order to produce nurses with high levels of expertise and excellent nursing practice skills, two new courses have been opened as advanced practice nurse courses from April 2025. The previous courses will continue as the nursing research course.
Advanced Practice Nurse Specialist (CNS) Course (Psychiatric Nursing)
- To develop psychiatric nurse specialists who can provide outstanding advanced practice nursing that combines care and cure based on psychiatric nursing expertise to individuals, groups, and families.
- Programs are available to explore subspecialties such as Psychiatry nursing and liaison psychiatric nursing.
- Psychiatric nurse specialists who are active on the front lines provide lectures and practical training to support learning
Advanced Practice Nurse Course Clinical Nurse Practitioner (NP) Course
- Nurturing advanced practice nurses with advanced specialized knowledge and practical skills
- A seamless learning environment with the university hospital next door, and lesson design that takes advantage of the expertise of the hospital and the characteristics of a comprehensive university
- An educational program that develops clinical judgment and problem-solving skills for dealing with complex medical situations
- Support system provided by staff with expertise in Cardiovascular Surgery, circulatory system, emergency care, trauma, general medicine, and intensive care
- With classes three days a week, it is possible to balance work and study (subject to change depending on circumstances. This does not apply in the second year due to practical training).

About the Professional Development Program (BP)
The Certified Nurse Specialist (CNS) course and Clinical Nurse Practitioner (NP) course have been certified as "Professional Practical Skills Development Programs" (BP) by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. This system aims to expand opportunities for working adults to improve the skills necessary for their jobs through programs at universities, Graduate School, junior colleges and technical colleges, and the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology certifies practical and specialized programs at universities and other institutions that meet the needs of working adults and companies as "Professional Practical Skills Development Programs" (BP).

Completion Requirements
Doctoral and Master's Degree Programs
- Students must be enrolled in school for at least 2 years. However, regarding the period of enrollment, for those who have achieved excellent research achievements, it is sufficient to enroll in the course for one year or more.
- Students must acquire the required number of credits from the subject of the major. If the faculty member deems it necessary for guidance, they might be instructed to attend a lecture in the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Medical Technology.
- Stundets must receive the necessary research guidance.
- Students must pass the master's thesis examination and test.
Doctoral degree program
- Students must be enrolled in school for at least 3 years. However, regarding the period of enrollment, for those who have achieved excellent research achievements, it is sufficient to enroll in the course for one year or more. In addition, students must have been enrolled for at least 3 years, including the period of enrollment in Master's program or Professional degree Program.
- Students must acquire the required number of credits from the subject of the major.
- Stundets must receive the necessary research guidance.
- Students must pass the dissertation examination and test.
