International Society for Liver Surgery 2024 (ISLS STS 2024 Seoul) held in Seoul, South Korea from Monday, March 18th to Tuesday, March 19th, 2024, and in Seoul, South Korea from Wednesday, March 20th to Saturday, March 23rd, 2024.
The International Society for Liver Surgery (ISLS) is held every two years in various locations around the world for the purpose of scientific advancement and dissemination of hepatobiliary surgery, (living donor and postmortem) liver transplantation, minimally invasive (laparoscopic and robotic) and endoscopic treatment, and HBP SURGERY WEEK is an international conference organized by South Korea Society of Hepato-Surgery (KAHBPS) to promote academic and educational developments in Surgery treatment of liver, biliary and pancreatic diseases.
The award-winning presentation concerned a system that integrates XR technology and the metaverse to record, share, and pass on optimal surgical techniques in robotic surgery and laparoscopic hepato-biliary-pancreatic surgery as spatial movements, and the award was presented in recognition of the research results of the institute and Holoeyes Inc. Professor Sugimoto commented, "I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone involved in this research. I intend to further improve the quality of research and educational activities at Okinaga Research Institute of Teikyo University and the Faculty School of Medicine, and to further develop excellent human resources." We look forward to the continued success of Professor Sugimoto and Assistant Professor Sueyoshi.
