Develop practical skills using equipment used in the actual field

Not only the hospital adjacent to the campus, but also the campus has an environment for learning practical medicine techniques. The university uses actual medical testing equipment used in the medical field. Using these, we aim to acquire inspection knowledge and techniques that meet the needs of the medical field.

Teikyo University Hospital (clinical training)

Clinical training will be conducted at the Teikyo University Hospital. Students will learn the attitude and language of dealing with patients, explanations of examinations, etc. by looking at the work of an orthoptist.

Department of Orthoptics training room

The two main tasks of an orthoptist are Ophthalmology examination and vision correction. There are many types of Ophthalmology examinations, such as visual acuity, visual field, and fundus camera for diagnosing and treating eye diseases, and students will learn through practical training.

Trial frame

Trial frame can change the lens and measure eyesight accurately. A vision test is a basic test in Ophthalmology and is used to make eyeglasses and contact lenses.

Red-green glasses, color vision test

Used for color vision tests. Since there are various types of color blindness, we use various tools to inspect which color is difficult to recognize.

Distance vision measuring instrument

Used in tests that measure static vision. The minimum vision is measured using the Randolt ring, which is widely used in Japan.

Large amblyopia

Used for strabismus inspection. Look inside and measure the position of the eyes when the pictures that can be seen by the left and right eyes are superimposed, and check whether the pictures can be seen three-dimensionally with both eyes.
