When I was in college, I was interested in various things. Information and electronics engineering, which I was studying at university, is one of them, but I liked movies and music, so I made short movies and worked part-time at a second-hand clothing store.
I think I like to decide and put into practice how to deal with things that interest me. The same is true for my graduation research, and after I was assigned to the laboratory in the 3rd year, I focused on "things that are not very systematized in the axis of making people's lives convenient." Eventually, I worked on the development of a system that can recognize the "finger-spelling" used in sign language by people with hearing impairments and convey the meaning to those who do not know the finger-spelling. I think that became the foundation for my future.
As a result, I got a job at TKC where I can make use of what I learned at university, but when I was just starting job hunting, I was looking at multiple fields of interest, not only system companies but also video production companies. rice field. However, as I proceeded with job hunting, future indicators such as what I really wanted to do, how I worked, and how I wanted to contribute to society became clear, and the companies were naturally narrowed down.
After joining TKC for 7 months, I received training for new employees, and after that, I was involved in a system development project to convert corporate trademarks into data and store and manage them with cloud services. Since 2021, I have been appointed as the project leader for the system development, and I am working on the project while feeling even more responsibility. In the past, I was in a position to focus on fulfilling my responsibilities, but now I am thinking about the growth of my subordinates and focusing on how to improve the overall results. We will continue to contribute to our customers, the company, and the society beyond that through system development.
I decided to join the company because I was attracted to being involved in a wide range of business because I was developing a system that would be the driving force of the company through accounting and I was consistently doing everything from design to development in-house. Another feature is that individuals have a great deal of discretion, and in many cases, proactive proposals are actually adopted, which makes work more rewarding.
Our duties are customered by specialists who are familiar with tax, accounting and law. However, instead of hiring only students who are familiar with those academic fields and techniques, we emphasize the "diversity" of human resources. In fact, we also hire many students from the Faculty of Arts. The reason why such "diversity" can be realized is that we have properly prepared a training system and learning environment where you can learn specialized knowledge from scratch after joining the company.
Mr. Otsuka, who develops systems even in private, often reads related books.

Originally I was interested in various industries, but I think that by outputting my opinions through job hunting, the indicators for my future career became clearer. The best opportunity for output is an interview. I was always conscious of clearly communicating what I wanted to do during the interview.
Rather than sifting through the interview, the company has the opportunity to interview the students, so please tell us a lot of stories about what you have devoted yourself to and what you have achieved. I'm out. It also leads to the discussion of "diversity" of human resources, but in order to find out the good points of various students, we try to involve as many employees as possible in the interview.
I think it was the most fun to become clearer and clearer about what I wanted to be. By participating in company research and briefing sessions, you will have more options, but every time you talk about "how you want to work" or "how you want to contribute to society," you will be among the options. From then on, my way of being is solidified. That was a lot of fun.
I think that you can only look inside various companies during the job hunting period for new graduates, even in a long life. TKC holds a 1-day internship, but it is more important to experience some of the social contribution activities that we are working on rather than explaining the company. This is an opportunity to experience programs in many industries, not just our company, so I hope you will work positively.
