While studying at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, studied at Ankara University in the Republic of Turkey, and then studied at Bogazi?i University's Ataturk Institute while attending the Graduate School school of the same university. In 2006, became a specialist investigator at the Embassy of Japan in Turkey. He joined Teikyo University in 2019 and researched on the theme of refugee policy and support for Syrian refugee protection in Turkey.

難民問題に挑む社会の智世界が日々変容するなか、昨今、従来の難民の定義に収まらない「準難民」といいうる人々が増加している。トルコでは、世界最多の約400万人の難民を受け入れているため、その政策や難民支援に国際的な注目が集まっている。さらに、国単位ではなく企業や大学など社会が難民問題と向き合う動きも加速している。

難民問題の解決策として動き出した新しい取り組み

There are three ways to solve the refugee problem, but none of them is easy. Therefore, as a new movement, there are active efforts at companies and universities, such as focusing on the abilities and possibilities of individuals, recognizing the naturalization of excellent human resources, supporting entrepreneurship, and providing a place to play an active part in sports and art. It has become.

帝京大学も難民支援のため「難民高等教育プログラム」に参画

Teikyo University participates in the Refugee Higher Education Program (RHEP), which supports non-Japanese refugees living in Japan to study at the university. We accepted one Syrian refugee student as an international student. Finding clues to the refugee problem, which includes many problems such as human rights and politics, is the action of the SDGs itself and leads to the creation of new social value.
