In order to create better learning conditions for students with disabilities enrolled at our university, and to create an environment where they can work as hard as other students, we provide support tailored to each student's actual situation.
If you require special consideration for taking the exam or studying due to a physical disability, illness, or other condition, please notify the Teikyo University Admission Center before applying (at least two weeks before the application deadline). You will be able to apply after the university has decided on its response. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate your request. Also, if you need special consideration after applying due to an unforeseen accident, etc., please contact us promptly.
Application Procedure
Please contact the Teikyo University Admission Center by phone at least two weeks before the application deadline. We will explain the special considerations for entrance exams and academic studies. TEL: 0120-335933 (toll-free)
You will be asked to discuss your enrollment with the person in charge at the campus you plan to enroll in over the phone. If necessary, we may arrange an interview with you.
Please download the "Examination Special Considerations Application Form" and fill in the necessary information. The download file is available in two formats: PDF and Excel format, which allows you to enter text.
Please send an email to the Teikyo University Admission Center with the "Application for Examination Accommodations" and a copy of your medical certificate or disability certificate attached. If you have a "Notification of the Results of the Examination Accommodations for the Common University Entrance Test," please submit it as well. Teikyo Admission Center Email: nyushi@teikyo-u.ac.jp
We will review the contents of your "Application for Examination Accommodations" and inform you of the response.
Based on the "Teikyo University Regulations for Supporting Students with Disabilities" and "Basic Policy for Supporting Students with Disabilities at Teikyo University and Teikyo University Junior College," our university accepts students with disabilities and actively provides them with the necessary and appropriate support for their studies. To ensure that students with disabilities do not have to give up their studies due to their disability, we will provide as diverse and individualized reasonable accommodations as possible based on the student's requests through dialogue with the student.
* We may not be able to respond to all requests if the content and scope of support is determined to compromise the essence of the purpose, content, or evaluation of education, or if it is deemed to place an excessive burden on the university. In such cases, we will continue to have dialogue with the student and provide other possible support.
Situations where reasonable accommodation is provided
Entrance examination (before admission, at the time of entrance examination, etc.)
Academic matters (classes, graduation, etc.)
Student life on campus (student support for extracurricular activities, school events, etc.)
Students who wish to receive assistance should contact the counseling desk at each campus. If you wish to receive accommodations for classes, etc., please be sure to consult the consultation desk rather than directly with the instructor.
STEP2: Application for support
Please submit the necessary documents for application to the consultation counter.
STEP3: Interview
If necessary, interviews will be held with students, faculty and staff, etc. to confirm and consider the necessary support.
STEP 4: Decide on support content and implement support
Once the content of support has been determined, we will inform the student, the instructor in charge of the subject, and relevant departments, and begin support.
STEP5: Feedback
Even after support begins, we will check and review the support status and adjust the support content as necessary.
If you would like assistance, please contact the consultation desk below.
