"“One’s way”" Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

This scholarship is for students who, after enrollment, have experienced a sudden change in their family's financial situation due to the death of a financial supporter, loss of employment, etc., and are now financially unable to continue their studies. This scholarship can be used in conjunction with the new higher education support system. International students are not eligible.

Eligibility Requirements

Teikyo University Faculty of Economics (Department of Economics, Department of International Economy, Department of Business Administration, Department of Tourism Management), Faculty of Law, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Faculty of Language Studies, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Medical Technology (Department of Sport and Medical Science Sports Health Course, Top Athlete Course) and Teikyo University Junior College students who have suddenly changed their household budget due to various reasons and have difficulty in studying due to financial reasons (regardless of grade).
It is not possible to receive multiple payments with the higher education study support system and the university's own scholarship system.

Support Association Scholarship (Utsunomiya Campus)

Eligibility Requirements

Students of Teikyo University's Faculty of Economics (Department of Regional Economics), Faculty of Science and Engineering (Department of Integrated Science and Engineering), or Faculty of Medical Technology (Department of Judo Therapy) who are finding it difficult to continue their studies for financial reasons and who are recognized as having a strong desire to continue their studies.
This scholarship cannot be received in conjunction with the New Higher Education Support System or other scholarships offered by the university. It is also not available to government-sponsored international students.

Benefit amount

A maximum of 400,000 yen per year. In addition, application and examination will be conducted every year.

Selection Criteria

Person who falls under any of the following

  1. New students are those who have good class attendance.
  2. Students in 2nd year to 4th year must have earned the average number of credits in the previous year and have grades in the previous year (average marks for all courses taken after retakes) that are above average within their department.

Teikyo University Excellent Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

  • Type 1
    Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Available to students with top grades in the previous year from Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Faculty of Languages and Cultures, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Faculty of Medical Technology, and 2nd year at Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology and above. This scholarship cannot be duplicated with the Supporters' Association Scholarship.
  • Second type
    This scholarship is available to students in 2nd year or above in Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Faculty of Languages and Cultures, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science and Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Medical Technology (Department of Sport and Medical Science Sports Health Course, Top Athlete Course) who have achieved the highest academic results in the previous year. This scholarship cannot be used in conjunction with the Supporters' Association Scholarship.

Teikyo University Junior College Scholarship for Outstanding Students

Eligibility Requirements

  • Type1
    Those with a GPA of at least 3.0 or higher for each semester / 1 student in each department
  • Type 2
    Those with a GPA of at least 2.5 or higher for each semester / Up to 5 students in each department including the type1 
    However, if the number of students in each department is less than 5, the total number of students in both departments is 10 or less.
  • * GPA is calculated only for compulsory subjects and designated specialized education.
  • * Able to receive this in combination with other on-campus scholarships and tuition reduction and exemption systems.

Qualification acquisition support system

Eligibility Requirements

Students at Teikyo University, Teikyo Graduate School, and Teikyo University Junior College who have acquired the relevant qualifications while enrolled.

  • * The amount of scholarship provided will be the actual cost of the examination fee. The same applies if there is a change in the price due to a price revision or consumption tax increase in the middle of the year.
  • * Qualifications acquired before enrollment are not eligible.
  • * Students enrolled in Correspondence Course of the Department of Department of Information Science Faculty of Science and Engineering are not eligible.

Department of Nursing Scholarship System

We provide scholarship loans to nursing students enrolled in universities, junior colleges, vocational schools, and high schools that train nurses and midwife, who intend to work as nurses or midwife at Teikyo University Chiba Medical Center after graduation.

Loan amount

30,000 yen per month

Loan period

The range of regular enrollment period as stipulated in the school regulations. However, for universities, it is four years from 1st year to 4th year, and for high schools, it is three years from 3rd year to fifth year (2nd year specialized course). In addition, students who advance to the Teikyo University Group's specialized course in midwifery can add one year to their enrollment period.

Terms for exemption from refund

Must obtain a license of nurse immediately after graduation. Must work at Teikyo University Chiba Medical Center for a period equivalent to the period of receiving a scholarship loan.

In order to secure doctors for regional medical care, our university has established its own scholarship system. Selection is made in the 1st year based on academic performance after enrollment, interviews, application documents, etc.

Target Audience
Applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • Applicants must apply for a medical scholarship from Fukushima, Chiba, Ibaraki, Shizuoka, Niigata, or Gunma prefectures (prefectures affiliated with the university) and intend to work for a designated period at a medical institution designated by the prefecture after graduating from the university, or to work for a designated period at the School of Medicine 's affiliated hospital branch.
  • Those who have graduated from high school or secondary school in March 2025 or are expected to graduate in March 2026.
  • Those who have excellent grades and are physically and mentally sound.

  • Duty period of work
    Work for a period equivalent to 1.5 times the loan period of the university (uniform 9 years)

  1. Those who are willing to enroll in the Public Health Research Doctor Training Course under the Integrated Program of the School of Medicine and Graduate School of Medicine ,and participate in the educational activities in the Public Health Research Doctor Training Course. In addition, you can participate in the educational activities from the first grade of School of Medicine. This activities allow to participate from the middle grade.
  2. After graduating from the School of Medicine, applicants intend to proceed to Graduate School Graduate School of Medicine Division of Medicine, and obtain a doctorate in public health research.
  3. Applicants must be willing to engage in research related to public health for a specified period after graduating from the Faculty of School of Medicine.
  4. A applicant who has excellent grades ,and is sound in both mind and body.

Lending period

Six years from the first to sixth years of School of Medicine, and four years in the doctoral program Graduate School. If the scholarship is awarded midway through the academic year, the period will be from the academic year in which the scholarship is awarded to the fourth year of Graduate School. If initial clinical training is conducted at the university's affiliated hospital before entering the graduate Graduate School, an additional two years will be added.
