Yasuo Kimura Laboratory (Social and Management Systems Laboratory)
Japan is said to be a pioneer in social issues, and there is a strong desire to solve these problems. To do this, we can utilize the various data generated by the daily activities of companies and government agencies. We will utilize the analysis of recent data to search for clues to solving social issues. Furthermore, the use of cutting-edge technologies such as AI, VR, and self-driving cars also holds great potential. In addition to researching the use of these technologies, our laboratory will also conduct research into methods for discovering and nurturing venture companies that could lead the way in these areas.

The impact of using cutting-edge technology to solve social issues
Various new tools created using cutting-edge technology have the potential to solve many of the social issues associated with Japan's aging and depopulation. For example, VR, AR, and metaverse technologies could be useful in building consensus in society and communities. We will conduct research to quantitatively evaluate the impact that cutting-edge technologies will have on regional issues in Japan.
