In the Department of Biosciences, students will be assigned to the laboratory from the 4th year to conduct graduation research. In graduation research, they will decide on a research theme together with academic advisor of assignment, and conduct research or survey over a year. In conducting graduation research, it is necessary to utilize the knowledge in various bioscience fields that students have learned so far to solve problems and test hypotheses through the experiments.
Students will summarize the research conducted for one year as a graduation thesis and give an oral presentation at the graduation research presentation. At the graduation research presentation, all 4th grade students will make presentations, and lively discussions and Q&A session will be held on the research content. Through these things, they will learn the ability to analyze and summarize the results obtained by experiments and surveys in an easy-to-understand manner, and the effective presentations and scientific communication.
Department of Biosciences actively present research results obtained through graduation research in related academic conferences and in academic papers. Many of the presenters and co-authors are enrolled students and graduate school students. Many students have presented excellent research results so far.
